Alexcis Lopez
SOLA President / Counsel Member/ Guide
Services: Integration Therapy, Sacred Plant Ceremonies
I never would have thought when I started working with Aya in 2007 that it would lead to the many blessings that have unfolded - one of the biggest blessings being this community.

In my private practice I work with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mental/emotional dis-ease. This summer, my many years of working with Aya will take me to the jungles of Peru to finish my training. The training will be the beginning of a whole new personal evolution for me and I am excited to share what I learn.

It truly is all about who you have on the journey with you and I have some of the very best travel buddies here at SOLA!

Some of my best memories of childhood take place in the pine forest camping in the Massachusetts hills. Or living on the land in upstate New York watching my parents strive to make the cabin in the woods dream into a reality. Spending eighteen years on the east coast I took everything that I had learned and packed up and headed west to look for something new. So began a decade of nomad living which would take me to the largest mountains in the world, empty African desert, the bustling streets of India, and the quiet remote wilderness of America's western mountains. At the age of twenty seven I was floating in the creeks of Sedona Arizona. Sitting in meditation holding my rose quartz I quickly jumped up. I felt ready, it was time for something completely different. I called Alexis Lopez when I saw and heard of her offer. That offer being a guided retreat utilizing plant medicine on blue water beaches of Mexico. I called her that day I jumped up from my meditation. That weekend I joined Alexics and the rest of the participants in a Ayahuasca ceremony.
Since that weekend journey I've been living in Tucson working full time running my own handyman business. Today I enjoy exploring my career, exploring my spirituality, and enjoying the company of those who I share ceremonies with. I'm Alex Pierce and I'm honored to call SOLA my family and share space with them wherever the world may take us.

Ramon Gomez
My name is Ramon Gomez.  I am excited to be part of this community of love, truth, honesty,  and acceptance.

I have been on a spiritual/shaman path since I read my first Carlos Castañeda book back in 1991. Since then I have been interested in shamanism, north american power plants and their purpose. Also reading other spiritual books of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.

Years later in 2015, I learned about ayahuasca. So I went to the jungle to meet her.  A profound meeting that started me on 2 dietas in the jungle. Another one in France, following my curandero. Learning the rituals, customs, and icaros.

I am a music lover and I love many styles and genres. Guitar is my choice of instrument, but I also love drumming, handpan, chakapa, maraca. I am very interested in the indigenous ceremony music. From north to south America.

I believe through diversity we can heal our selves and the planet.  Allyu Masikunapa, we are all family.

Carrianne Connors

Counsel Member
Services: Counselor/Social Worker
Hello everyone!  My name is Carrianne, and I am both proud and excited to be a member of such an amazing group of like-minded individuals within the SOLA community.
During the day, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Child and Family Therapist) and work closely with the Department of Child Safety to provide a multitude of Trauma-Informed therapeutic interventions with foster/adoptive children and their families, as well as non-DCS related individuals/families. I provided individual, group, and family therapy.
I have three children under the age of 5, which you may hear me refer to as my “three tiny terrorists!”  Being a mom was always a dream of mine, even though I have days when I want to pull my hair out.  Utilizing the knowledge learned in my advanced schooling and my therapeutic clinical practice, has greatly helped me to better understand human beings and how they function/not function; therefore, leading me to the continued growth of a better version of myself and mom to my children.
I have always been on the road of self-discovery but felt as though something was missing.  That is when I was introduced to plant medicine.  In 2010, with Alexcis and others, we forged into the Jungles of Peru for a transformative journey with Mother Ayahuasca and I have not looked back since.  Plant medicine has become an integral part of my life’s journey. It has allowed me to delve deeper into my own growth and join a community of other like-minded individuals. I believe change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling lives.

April Dawn King
Services: Holistic Nutritionist
Better Than Provisions 5 Nut Granola
Hello fellow seekers! My name is April and I’m so grateful to be here. Through my life I’ve always tended to take the road less traveled and it truly has made all the difference. I’ve played many roles in my time and my current favorites are wife to Earl, kitty mama, mom, grandma, Holistic Nutritionist, founder of a healthy packaged food brand, and plant medicine enthusiast. I’m always seeking to be a better version of myself, or may I say truer version, and I especially enjoy making a positive impact in the world. Even though I am the baby of 8 children by a loving mother, I have found SOLA to be the family I’ve always wanted for myself and where I garner a real sense of belonging. The love and acceptance I receive here has changed my experience of life and it is an honor to be here with you.
